HONGSHUN FeSiMg Nodulizers for Superior Ductile Iron

Ferro silicon magnesium, also known as FeSiMg alloy, is a remelting alloy made up of Ferro silicon, Magnesium, rare earth, and Calcium.
As an additive, it can crystallize the graphite in cast iron into a ball shape. Its’ main elements are Si, Mg, Re, Ca, etc. The silicon magnesium alloys containing rare earth elements are divided into ordinary rare earth nodularizer and yttrium base heavy rare earth nodularizer.

Application in Ductile Iron Production:

Nodulization is a vital process in the production of ductile iron, where graphite is transformed from flakes into a spheroidal (round) shape during the solidification phase. This transformation significantly enhances the mechanical properties of cast iron, making it more ductile, durable, and resistant to fracture. A material known as a nodulizer, containing elements like magnesium (Mg), cerium (Ce), calcium (Ca), and barium (Ba), facilitates this change by influencing the formation of spheroidal graphite.

HONGSHUN specializes in Ferro Silicon Magnesium (FeSiMg) nodulizers, designed specifically to meet the needs of ductile iron foundries. These nodulizers contain precise amounts of magnesium and other elements like cerium (Ce), which work synergistically to ensure uniform graphite formation.
